1. A Hudson Valley Escape
Actor Walton Goggins and his wife, writer-director Nadia Conners, have traded the buzz of Los Angeles for the tranquility of the Hudson Valley. Their decision to leave LA wasn’t about escaping—it was about evolving. The couple fell for a 1920s Scottish hunting lodge, enchanted by its history and charm.
Restoring the home was no small feat; every system needed work. Designer Shawn Henderson helped modernize the layout while preserving the home’s character. The result is a blend of vintage finds, bold artwork, and thoughtfully sourced furnishings, reflecting the couple’s deep appreciation for design and art.
2. Blending Old and New
The couple infused the home with a mix of vintage and contemporary elements. Goggins, a self-described design obsessive, handpicked each piece—like 1970s de Sede lounge chairs and a Verner Panton shell lamp. The house’s hidden gems, including a Prohibition-era bar and signed gun room, add layers of intrigue.
Conners describes their approach to collecting art and furniture as a shared love language. “Design and art are two of the great love languages,” she says. The couple’s curation creates a home that feels both personal and expansive.
3. A New Chapter
The home’s renovation was a labor of love, supported by a team of skilled craftspeople. Goggins reflects that growing up surrounded by art, music, and history is a gift for their son. “This house has stimulated me in ways I’ve never been stimulated before,” he says.
